徽州古镇迎来了一年中最重要的日子——除夕，人们欢天喜地，张灯结彩，但是在夜最深之际，神秘的恐慌却弥漫在老镇的每一个角落。远远有人高声提醒，“除夕将至，多加戒防”。大人们也紧张兮兮，忙不迭地将孩子叫入家门，熄灭灯火。原来传说中每到除夕夜就会有一种叫做“年”的怪兽出没吃小孩，虽然没什么人见过这个怪兽，可是大家宁可信其有，不可信其无，还是早作准备。偏偏有个小男孩不信邪，他不仅还在街上放花，还全然不理会更夫的提醒。 　　就在此时，神秘光芒乍现，恐怖的怪兽现身老镇……
